Values: A Picture Portfolio

We have thought a lot about our purpose and values at All Saints and the parish community as a whole has identifed our core values: worship, spiritual life & intimicy with God, outreach, partnership in ministry, and inclusion & friendship.  With these images, we attempt to depict our values through our actions (which is appropriate, since our pupose is to "Put Christ's love into positive action."

Musical Life at All Saints

Music is a major part of the experience and values of All Saints.  In part because our round, concrete church building offers superb acoustics (imagine you are inside a band shell) for musicians and vocalists.  But also because music is part of how we worship and live together.  See also the Audio and Video Galleries under the Media menu for some experience of worship and of musical performances. Also look under the Music & The Arts menu for more details on the choir, the organs and musical groups that perform in ou space.

Outreach: Serving The Community

Service to the community, especially to the underserved -- aka "outreach" -- is a core value of All Saints.  Because we are a "downtown" church, rather than out in a more suburban neighborhood, we are a center where things can happen that require the community to come together to act to care for God's creation.  We are a place where communities gather, get organized, get healed, and thrive.  See the Community Service menu for more information about the activities of the church, and the activities of the community

The Beauty Inside All Saints

While our church building looks very 20th century modern from the outside -- some call it a huge concrete baptismal font, some call it 'stark' -- you will find a warm and beautiful building inside, along with a warm reception.  The shape of the building and the materials make it an incredible acoustical space for vocal and instrumental music -- the church inside is shaped like a bandshell so the acoustics are fabulous for organ, choir, and musical performance groups.  That we gather together in a round church  is a very important part of our life together: we see and val
