Shopping List

Hello All,
Its that time again, Thanksgiving!  The annual InnVision Estelle Chaflin Community Potluck Meal for the Homeless will happen again at All Saint's Church at 555 Waverley Street on Thanksgiving Day from noon to 2PM.

Here are the opportunities to help:

Biggest need:

Cooking and bringing the items by noon the Wed (11/21) before Thanksgiving to church at All Saints, 555 Waverley, Palo Alto. We need about 30 cooked turkeys to make this a success. We also need people to make trays of mashed potatoes and trays of candied sweet potatoes, both the at home to bring to the church and at the church that day.

Next in order of importance is:

1. Help cooking food at Church on Wed the day before from 9AM to 4PM, minimum two-hour shift. Noon is the turkey-carving lesson so please bring sharp knives, aprons and paring knives. Folks are needed for this until 3:30 or 4PM.

2. Purchase items on our shopping list and bring them to the Church by noon the Wed before Thanksgiving.

3. Help with cleanup after Thanksgiving Day Meal (11/22) from 2 to 4PM (you can come earlier to meet some of the folks and get a chance to talk with them).

4. Help serve and cleanup on Friday (11/23) for the leftover meal (10AM to 2PM).

5. Help with work in the kitchen on Tday itself and lastly, help serve the dinner (always have too many volunteers that just want to do this.)

We ask all volunteers to bring a baked turkey, prepared sweet potatoes or mashed potatoes the day before. Or, they can bring items from the shopping list.

I hope this helps with your decision on how to help and let me know where you'd like to make your contribution.

Your donations of food and time are so appreciated.

Thank you,
Eileen Richardson and Kristin Chandler
