Thank you for your interest in becoming the next rector of All Saints’ Church, Palo Alto. We ask that you complete the application documents listed below and forward them to the Deployment Officer for the Diocese of El Camino Real, the Reverend Canon Brian Nordwick, at Brian@edecr.org. Please enter "Candidate for Rector, All Saints’ Palo Alto" in the subject line. Your application will be forwarded to the Rector Search Committee once all requested documents have been received. We will email an acknowledgement upon receipt of your completed application.

All Saints' Rector Search Process
This written application is the first step in our discernment process. Once the application deadline has passed, the Rector Search Committee will review all applications and create a pool of candidates for phone interviews and eventual visits. The Rector Search Committee will contact you after the application review to convey our appreciation of your interest and the status of your application.

The five application questions are listed below. The sermons requested in Question 1 may be as long as required to cover the subject appropriately. For the other questions, please limit your answer to each question to no more than two pages.
Please describe your personal journey in faith, and why you are being drawn to All Saints’.
Please describe how you have helped a parish discern how to live out its purpose and values in more specific directions for ministry, and how you then led the parish to implement those directions. If you encountered resistance to your efforts, how did you handle it? How did you measure the success of this process of discernment and implementation?
Please identify your core values; how will they be manifested in your everyday life as rector of All Saints’ Church?
What do you identify as the three most significant challenges currently facing the National Episcopal Church? How have you responded to these challenges in the context of your current ministry?
