SAN FRANCISCO VOLTI returns December 2, 7 p.m. (NOTE this is a revised time!)
"Not-the-Messiah Choral Concert." With tongue only slightly in cheek (because it’s really hard to sing that way), Volti offers an alternative way to celebrate the love and spirituality of the season. Highlighting the program is the premiere of Cancionero Amoroso, five love songs in five languages from Armando Bayolo. We’ll also sing Stacy Garrop‘s Songs of Lowly Life and Shawn Crouch‘s The Garden of Paradise, as well as works by David Shapiro and Charles Halka.Volti's motto is "Singing without a net." SF Classical Voice says "Volti may well be the finest collection of chamber singers in the country." Tickets available at the door: $25 ($20 for seniors 65+, $10 for students with ID). Go to www.voltisf.org for more information or to order tickets in advance.
